Reiki: |
The name "Rei-Ki" means Divine Universal/Life
Force. Reiki is a simple transfer of
energy that facilitates the body's ability
to heal physical and emotional ailments
and opens the mind and spirit to the
cause of disease and pain.
A treatment session
usually lasts one hour. During this
hour, the client lies or sits fully clothed
in a comfortable position. The
Reiki practitioner channels the energy
gently to corresponding locations of
major organs, tissues, chakra energy
centers, bones, nerves, and endocrine
glands of the body. You need only
to be relaxed and open to receive this
energy.

You are what you think.
If you change the way you think,
you can change yourself. When
hypnotized, it is possible to change
the quality of your thoughts, generating
productive & helpful thoughts and
eliminating unproductive ones. Hypnosis
is an effective tool for self-improvement.

CranioSacral
|
In 2001, my daughter
was in a car accident and sustained
a concussion. This lead me to
study CranioSacral Therapy (CST)
- a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and
enhancing the functioning of the CranioSacral
system, which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and
protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch, practitioners release restrictions in the CranioSacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous
system. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST
is effective for a wide range of medical problems
associated with pain and dysfunction.

As a young girl, drawing
and colouring captured my vision. I
studied stained glass techniques at
Conestoga College. After I was
done all the classes, everything just
seemed to fall into place and I couldn't
get enough. Since 1985, I've been
creating custom windows for entrances,
hang pieces small and large from Victorian
to modern. My largest consignment
being a window 8 ft by 6 ft, done in 3
panels in the library at St. Peter's
School in Guelph. I'm empowered by the
spiritual and healing powers of the
earth's natural stones, which I have been
blending with vibrant colours and textures
of glass. I work exclusively with
the copper foil techniques that allow
me to create smaller detailed work.
In 2001, I began studying
the water colour medium with Margo Snow.
I've been inspired by Celtic art
in stone, which was found in churches
and shields made in metal through the
Celtic dynasty. Bringing colour
to these ancient patterns called Mandalas
has unleashed a spiritual door to my
soul. When meditating with these
Mandalas, your inner self is awakened.
